ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking a Chief Architect to lead the design, integration, and evolution of technical systems and solutions supporting operations at the Boulder Ground Innovation Facility (BGIF), the OPIR TAP Lab, and other related environments. This role provides architectural oversight across facility infrastructure, IT, cyber, and systems engineering, enabling resilient, mission-aligned innovation in support of Space Force and research partners. This position is contingent upon final contract award.
Top-Level Position Description
Serves as the technical authority and design integrator across all domains. Responsible for system-of-systems architecture, platform modernization, technology insertion, and cross-domain engineering collaboration. Supports delivery of agile, secure, and scalable mission capabilities across hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
Define and evolve the enterprise architecture roadmap for BGIF and associated environments
Lead integration planning across facilities, cyber, IT, and R&D systems
Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and engineering product lines
Support Platform One, Zero Trust, and cross-domain architecture solutions
Enable infrastructure-as-code, automation, and modern CM approaches
Drive technology innovation and insertion in collaboration with Government stakeholders
Ensure architectural compliance with DoD, USSF, and RMF standards
Advise on scalability, resiliency, performance optimization, and lifecycle planning
Job Requirements
Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
M.S., Computer Science, Systems Architecture, or related field
Minimum 15 years of industry experience in systems architecture or engineering leadership roles and 5 years of software development
Proven experience designing integrated architectures in classified DoD/IC environments
Expertise in IT, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cross-domain systems integration
Familiarity with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps principles
Working knowledge of RMF, DISA STIGs, and platform accreditation frameworks
Preferred Requirements
INCOSE CSEP or equivalent certification
Platform One, Kubernetes, or hybrid cloud deployment experience
Experience supporting OPIR, SDA, or other Space Force innovation programs
Familiarity with MBSE, DoDAF, and model-based architecture tools (e.g., Cameo)
