Responsibilities
We seek valued employees to be Champions of the Select Medical Way, which includes prioritizing patients, improving community quality of life, exploring new ideas, providing high-quality care, and doing what is right.
The CEO role offers a unique opportunity to lead hospital operations in a critical care environment. The CEO will provide hands-on leadership, strategic direction, and operational management, focusing on business development, quality patient care, and fiscal accountability. The ideal candidate will analyze complex situations and execute decisions effectively, demonstrating high integrity, positivity, and resilience under pressure. Must be a proactive self-starter capable of broad responsibilities in a dynamic healthcare setting. The CEO may serve as vice-chair of the Governing Board if there is no market CEO.
- Perform daily rounds on nursing floors, communicating with patients, families, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and oversee the Complaint-Grievance Process.
- Maintain hospital compliance with State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
- Focus on employee engagement.
- Develop and maintain a top 10 Key Business Development Relationship list.
- Understand and implement the Corporate Case Management and PPS Model.
- Prepare an Annual Operating Budget, a 3-year Capital Budget, and a Strategic Plan for approval by the Governing Board.
- Uphold high ethical standards, behave professionally, and adhere to policies, including compliance, HIPAA, and professional standards.
Qualifications
We are looking for a passionate individual who strives for superior quality and excels at problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
Minimum requirements:
- Master's Degree required.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in healthcare.
- Experience managing finance, strategic planning, and community health programs.
- At least 3 years of operational experience in an acute care or specialty hospital setting.
