ASRC Federal Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the Avon Park AFR Engineering Operations Services contract in Avon Park, Florida. Strong experience with AutoCAD and the ability to develop civil and architectural drawing packages is essential for success in this role. As a key member of our engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of critical infrastructure projects that directly support Air Force operations. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping project plans by working closely with in-house engineers and Air Force subject matter experts to ensure design accuracy and alignment with mission requirements. Your technical contributions-especially in CAD-based design-will help ensure all facilities remain functional, efficient, and strategically aligned. Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs, plans civil engineering projects in construction.
Analyzes maps, blueprints, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project.
Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data, applying knowledge and techniques of engineering, and cost estimating software
May prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates
Analyze material, labor, equipment and time requirements.
Ensure Design solutions stay within budget
Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software, and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents and other Engineering software.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience, or Associate degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Previous work experience with developing drawing packages in computer-aided design (CAD).
Ability to gain Air Force certifications required by contract to include Air Force Civil Engineering courses provided by the Airforce and scheduled by ASRC program manager.
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to pass background check and obtain Government CAT card.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; AutoCAD, MicroStation; Adobe Acrobat and cost estimating software.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required.This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s).
Preferred Experience:
Working experience with developing civil/architectural drawing packages in computer-aided design (CAD).
Experience utilizing cost estimating software and market research to develop Independent Government Estimates (IGE).
Experience on Department of Defense projects for clients such as U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Air Force, or NAVFAC.
