About the Role
The Department of Medical Genetics and Genomic Medicine at Saint Peter’s University Hospital is seeking a full-time Clinical Geneticist. The successful candidate will have clinical responsibilities within the department and opportunities for teaching and participation in clinical research trials.
About the Department
The department is designated as the Regional Center for Newborn Screening and General Genetic Services by the New Jersey State Department of Health. It houses one of the largest Lysosomal Disease Therapy Centers in the U.S. and provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for genetically influenced conditions, collaborating across hospital departments and the community. Specialty clinics include Craniofacial, Neurogenetics, Hearing Impairment, Metabolic, Prenatal, and Oncology. The department is involved in gene therapy and clinical trials, and provides education to residents and mentorship to genetic counseling students.

Requirements
- M.D./D.O. from an accredited Medical or Osteopathic School
- Board Certified/Eligible in Clinical Genetics (Genomics); BC/BE in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine and/or Medical Biochemical Genetics preferred but not required
- Current or ability to obtain a New Jersey Medical License
