Job Summary:
The Communications Consultant is responsible for assisting with driving consistent, clear, and compelling communication across internal and external channels. This role ensures messaging is aligned across the HiveSmart and HiveStrong brands, supports professional polish across assets, and maintains communication standards across the organization. You will assist with managing content calendars, refining messaging, and creating frameworks to support cohesive storytelling across multiple voices and platforms. This role has the opportunity to also support HiveSmart clients’ Communications needs.
Responsibilities:

Strategic Messaging: Develop and manage brand-aligned messaging for internal and external audiences across HiveSmart, HiveStrong, and client-facing materials.

Content Creation: Write and refine content including newsletters, email campaigns, presentations, and client communications.

Internal Communications: Establish and manage internal communications processes to ensure clarity, alignment, and engagement across the team and consultants.

Asset Management: Maintain organized systems for communications tools, decks, and templates. Ensure all consultants are using up-to-date, brand-approved assets and messaging.

Editorial Calendar Management: Set and manage the communications calendar to support initiatives, launches, and ongoing engagement.

Brand Consistency: Uphold brand tone, voice, and visual consistency across all materials.

Multi-Voice Writing: Craft content that authentically represents various leaders and stakeholders, adapting voice and tone as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with leadership, consultants, designers, and marketing teams to support communications needs across projects.

Marketing Support: Assist with broader marketing responsibilities, as needed, to support brand growth and visibility.
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in communications, content strategy, or marketing communications.

Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

Experience developing internal and external communication frameworks.

Ability to manage multiple voices and adapt content accordingly.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Familiarity with brand and marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Microsoft, PPT, etc.).

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
-
Experience working with or within consulting or agency environments is a plus.
Details:

Hours: 5–10 hours/week (potential to expand) for the Hive brands, plus additional hours for client needs

Rate: $40–50/hr
