The Department of Probation are recruiting two (2) Community Associates to function under the Fleet Operations Unit. With latitude for independent judgment and initiative who will, the Community Associate will:
Assist in loading and unloading of materials, equipment, and passengers.
Report any accidents in which the vehicle may have been involved.
Watch for traffic hazards while labor force is engaged in making emergency repairs.
Responsible for tools, supplies, materials, and equipment carried in or on the assigned vehicle.
Prepare and submit daily trip reports.
When not driving, may be required to perform such additional duties as running errands, answering phones, and delivering mail and/or small packages.
Assists in delivering and picking-up vehicles from vendors.
Delivers supplies and materials to facilities.
Transports staff for special assignments, events, and shelter tours during and after working hours.
Provides routine maintenance on vehicles by refueling/changing oil/checking tires/horns/lights/brakes/wipers and others to ensure the safety operation of the vehicles.

Qualifications
Qualification Requirements
High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

Salary Min: $ 43,143.00
Salary Max: $ 71,800.00
