FlexShopper, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join our team in Boca Raton. This is a key hands-on role responsible for managing and overseeing compliance programs, processes, and personnel across the organization. The Compliance Manager will ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, mitigate operational risk, and help maintain a strong culture of compliance. This is an individual contributor position that manages processes, not teams.
This role involves close collaboration with internal departments, external partners, and regulatory stakeholders to support third-party risk management, complaint handling, monitoring and testing, and internal compliance coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Third-Party Risk Management
- Develop and maintain third-party risk assessment frameworks
- Lead vendor due diligence activities, including financial, security, and compliance evaluations
- Oversee the full vendor lifecycle (onboarding through offboarding)
- Manage vendor documentation and contract compliance reviews
Monitoring and Testing
- Establish monitoring programs to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
- Design and execute quality assurance and regulatory testing plans
- Identify and address compliance issues through structured remediation efforts
- Report findings and trends to senior leadership
Third-Party Relationship Management
- Serve as the main liaison for external service providers
- Manage performance reviews and service level expectations
- Foster strong, professional vendor relationships to support business goals
Complaint Management
- Oversee the intake, review, and resolution of customer complaints
- Ensure compliance with response timelines and documentation standards
- Analyze complaint data to identify trends and recommend improvements
- Report metrics and summaries to leadership teams
Internal Legal and Compliance Request Management
- Coordinate compliance-related requests from internal departments
- Facilitate legal reviews for new products, services, or initiatives
- Maintain a knowledge base of frequently asked compliance questions and responses
- Track request statuses and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or legal operations (experience in financial services or fintech is strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and risk mitigation strategies
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with precision and professionalism
