Role Description:
We are looking for an Estimator/Senior Estimator who will be tasked with creating and managing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans, preparing take-offs and estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate evaluation report to be based on a developer’s ROM, Schematic, or Construction pricing.
- Review and validate scope against the predefined demarcation matrix highlighting areas of deviation and the cost impacts of the same.
- The report is to be developed in line with Clients’ identified WBS categories.
- The report should call out a review analysis of the Developer’s Data Center construction costs compared to market intelligence and parametric cost data
- The report should provide a review analysis of developer security costs compared to Clients’ security cost data. Client security cost data to be provided by the Client
- The report shall capture all assumptions and exclusions included within the developer’s cost estimate or proposed by AE, GC, and Client
- Track all design changes between estimate revisions and report on cost and schedule impacts.
- Factor in Value Engineering cost options for Client consideration.
- Coordinate with in-house commodity teams to ensure the latest in market intelligence is being leveraged for cost evaluations.
- The report shall provide summaries of Site & Shell / Increment 0 / Increment 1-N construction phasing
- Liaise with all Client stakeholders and partner teams including Energy
- Location Services (ELS), Central Estimating, and other stakeholders regarding estimating and program costs.
- Preparing and providing high-level ROM estimates for the purposes of program planning, annual capex planning, and pipeline projects.
- Other estimating roles will include the development of a cost modeling tool to help with high-level estimates and improve benchmark capture.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications/ Relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3 years minimum cost management or estimating experience
- Cost Manager/Estimator with large scale infrastructure required
- CostX proficient
- Proficient in the use of the required functions in Google Suite, strong capabilities in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel is preferred
- Knowledge of relevant construction technologies and trends (Sustainability) to assist with appropriate options and cost implications
- Great personal relationships skills and ability to work with a wider interdisciplinary team of people
- Organized and detailed oriented
