We are currently recruiting for a Superintendent to be based out of our San Francisco office in Benicia, CA. As a Superintendent for PULLMAN, you will be responsible for providing high-level field management to other Superintendents, Foremen, and our union crews that make our nation’s structures stronger and last longer. Projects typically include concrete repair, masonry restoration, waterproofing, and structural strengthening in commercial and industrial settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Project Managers, Division Managers, and other leaders within PULLMAN.
- Participating in pre-project and pre-task planning activities and disseminating details to field teams.
- Motivating team members, coordinating work activities, and assigning tasks based on material and worker requirements.
- Ensuring crews operate tools and equipment safely, properly, and productively.
- Providing training and assistance to field managers and crews.
- Assisting Project Managers in evaluating production rates.
- Completing all essential paperwork accurately and clearly.
- Interviewing and hiring new field employees.
- Leading the Company’s Safety culture.
Candidate criteria include:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
- 10+ years in general construction, with at least 5 years in a field management role.
- Experience in repair projects such as concrete repair, waterproofing, and structural strengthening.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong commitment to safety and effective communication skills.
- Intermediate computer and construction math skills.
Our ideal candidate is an innovative, decisive, and collaborative field manager who can set goals, mentor others, and build relationships. The anticipated salary range is between $125,000 and $155,000, based on education and experience.
