This position involves installing and maintaining distributed control systems (DCS), safety instrumented systems (SIS), and other electronic automation equipment. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, commissioning, inspecting hardware and software, troubleshooting, and managing customer needs. The role requires technical skills, critical analysis, attention to detail, and strong computer skills. Travel to remote customer sites is also expected.
The candidate must regularly drive to industrial sites, adhere to safety regulations, and be vigilant about safety hazards. Maturity and sound judgment are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide DCS and SIS support: Support systems like DeltaV DCS, DeltaV SIS, and AMS Device Manager.
- Control Systems Administration: Design, install, stage, test, and upgrade software; manage Active Directory/DNS, virtualization, and network design.
- Control System Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance, follow procedures, and work with sales to grow service offerings.
- Control System Lifecycle Care: Configure, troubleshoot, support upgrades, and assist in commissioning and startup.
- Participate in on-call support and travel as needed, including overnight stays, with travel times of 2-3 days within 1-4 hours from home.
- Work overtime, including weekends and holidays, and shift work if required.
- Operate company vehicles and potentially travel offshore via boat or helicopter.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment, attend training, and follow safety protocols.
- Collaborate with teams, maintain product knowledge, and ensure clear communication.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; high school diploma required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in process control, instrumentation, electrical concepts, automation projects, and system configuration.
- Experience with DCS/PLC systems, commissioning, testing, and startup.
- Programming experience with modern DCS languages.
- Knowledge of Emerson DeltaV DCS and AMS Device Manager systems.
Certifications & Licenses:
