Fruitist is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Cost & Inventory Control Manager to lead inventory control across our OPS warehouse locations. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure accuracy in inventory transactions, strengthen financial controls, and support day-to-day operations. As the company grows, your responsibilities will expand to include oversight of third-party warehouse operations. We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in inventory accounting, cost management, and ERP systems, who also brings a passion for process improvement and compliance. What You’ll Do

Inventory Control & Reconciliation: Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking movements, reconciliations, and adjustments for the OPS warehouse and, later, third-party warehouses

Cost Accounting & Analysis: Analyze inventory costs, variances, and COGS accuracy, ensuring alignment with financial reporting

Transaction Monitoring: Ensure all inventory transactions (receipts, transfers, shipments, and adjustments) are correctly recorded in Famous ERP

Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with warehouse teams to improve inventory tracking processes and resolve discrepancies in real-time

Reporting & Compliance: Prepare inventory-related reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls, audits, and financial reporting standards

Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in developing inventory/COGS forecasts and budgets, ensuring accurate financial planning and cost control. Provide insights on inventory trends and their financial impact. Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices for inventory accounting and control procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy

Expansion to Third-Party Warehouses: Establish control mechanisms and reporting structures as the role expands to manage inventory at external locations
What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field

5-10 years years of experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, or financial control, preferably in the fresh produce or food distribution industry

Strong understanding of ERP systems and inventory management processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams

Experience with third-party warehouse oversight is a plus
