Position Summary
The Course Proctor manages and oversees courses broadcast into campus locations virtually. Responsibilities include preparing classrooms for virtual courses, setting up technology following provided manuals, accessing the Learning Management System (Brightspace), and ensuring the live video (Kaltura) functions correctly. The Proctor will verify audio/video quality before classes, stay with students during the session, record attendance, and report to the instructor afterward.
Key Job Elements
- Prepare technology for course proctoring.
- Follow instructions in the “Brightspace Guide for Faculty” and “Kaltura Instructor Guide”.
- Ensure classroom projection and audio/video functionality.
- Complete and leave the Student Sign-In Sheet for student attendance.
- Remain with students throughout the class.
- Email the instructor with the list of students after each session.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- Proficient with Learning Management Systems and classroom technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and self-motivation skills.
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office and LMS.
