Job description
Our client, a telecommunications company in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Data Scientist for an initial six-month contract, with potential for extension or full-time conversion. The role involves working in a hybrid model, four days per week onsite. The Data Scientist will utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to clean, aggregate, and analyze large datasets, and interpret results.
This position requires a strong command of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms, along with the ability to prioritize tasks, synthesize actionable insights across various assignments, and effectively present findings to audiences with diverse technical backgrounds.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with data management, manipulation, and modeling
- Extensive experience with data science tools: Python, R
- Knowledge of major machine learning techniques: regression, decision trees, clustering, SVMs, neural networks, time series
- Experience with machine learning for anomaly detection
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
