We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Los Angeles, California (US-CA), United States (US).
The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for performing various managed client services for a strategic customer, including IMAC, Break Fix, Desk Side Support, etc. This role combines strong technical skills with an emphasis on delivering a high level of customer service.
This position requires working onsite at the client's office during the following hours:
- Monday & Friday 8 AM to 5 PM
- Saturday & Sunday 6 AM to 6 PM
This role requires working onsite daily at our client's facility and mandates that the employee be fully vaccinated (flu and COVID) on or before the start date, as required by law.
Role Responsibilities
- Working in a healthcare environment to migrate workstations, laptops, and tablets from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
- Installing, configuring, validating, and troubleshooting desktops, printers, and peripherals.
- Maintaining and optimizing desktop/notebook configurations at customer sites.
- Diagnosing and resolving product performance issues.
- Performing maintenance and repair services.
- Working under general direction, seeking assistance as needed.
- Completing work according to accepted practices within the field.
- Establishing approaches for completing assignments.
- Gathering information independently.
- Adjusting to multiple demands and shifting priorities; accepting responsibility for actions.
- Supporting project milestones and commitments with the team.
- Instructing customers in system operation and maintenance.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of desktop/technical support experience.
Additional Skills
- A+ Certification.
- Proven customer service background.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating System environment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written technical instructions and scripts.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move hardware.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Basic customer interaction skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, MAC experience, printer repair experience, networking experience, PC imaging, and deployment experience.
- A driven, self-starting individual with a reliable personal vehicle.
Where required by law, the starting pay range for this role is $26.68 - $31.39/hour. Compensation depends on experience and qualifications.
