Job Description
Kearney & Company is seeking a Digital Forensics Consultant to join our team in Alexandria, VA! Duties include but are not limited to:
- Investigate and review security-related incidents using tools such as EDR, SEIM, and EnCase
- Configure, deploy, and manage digital forensics tools
- Work with M365, Azure, and AWS platforms
- Investigate Virtual Machines, Cloud Trail, and IAM logs
- Utilize technologies like EDR, SEIM, and packet capture for endpoint and network activity analysis
- Create incident response and forensic reports with findings, analysis, and recommendations
- Develop security content, scripts, and tools to improve forensic processes
- Collaborate with Insider Threat Investigations on DLP cases
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in digital forensic analysis, media acquisition, mobile device analysis, and malware analysis
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, GREM, GISF, GXPN, GCTI, GOSI, EnCase (EnCE, CFSR, ENCEP)

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $140,000, based on experience, education, location, and other factors. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
