Responsibilities
The Director of Practice Operations will be responsible for the operations of all assigned medical groups and its subsidiaries. Other responsibilities include partnering with Hospital Administration to facilitate the successful accomplishment of financial, operational, and quality goals; increased engagement of providers; and additional affiliations with targeted providers. The Director will ensure staff meets the educational requirements for the respective job duties. The Director is responsible for staffing clinics, which includes recruitment and retention of staff. The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and influencing department activities while maintaining continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in business or healthcare management.
- Master’s degree in business or healthcare management preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in medical practice management required (with direct experience managing the revenue cycle).
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable management, coding, Medicare & Medicaid regulations, payor contracting, and Billing & Collections.
- Knowledge of credentialing, regulatory compliance, etc.
- Frequent local travel time required.
