We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Global Sourcing to lead our Category Strategy team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management on a global scale. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership abilities and a deep understanding of international market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive global category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service levels.
Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
Conduct market analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within assigned categories across different regions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and international regulations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing processes and achieve cost savings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders globally.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive accountability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, with a focus on global operations.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate others.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
In-depth knowledge of international market dynamics, industry trends, and best practices in sourcing and procurement.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software and tools.
