Position Details
KPMG is seeking a Director, Tech Engineering to join our Tax Ignition Group.
Responsibilities
- Lead the response to clients' security inquiries.
- Meet with clients to address their security questions and negotiate controls when gaps exist between client requirements and our offerings.
- Drive innovation in the inquiry process, including integrating AI, creating collateral like whitepapers, managing metrics, and enhancing tooling and interactions.
- Partner with internal teams to incorporate trends into product roadmaps, collaborate on compliance, and raise awareness of security requirements.
- Review and respond to security questionnaires and assessments.
- Build and maintain a knowledge base of common client questions.
Qualifications
- Minimum ten years of recent experience in IT security compliance, risk management, or related fields within a large organization, preferably in professional services or regulated environments.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, modern software development, and security controls; Azure experience preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively globally.
- Proven client-facing experience handling security inquiries and driving process improvements.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as COBIT, NIST, ISO; certifications like CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Auditor, etc., preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
