KPMG is seeking a Director, MDM to join KPMG's Technology practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead MDM and Data Governance initiatives, managing lifecycle phases and teams of 5 to 25 members.
- Design and implement MDM and data governance strategies, using sector-specific knowledge to guide clients.
- Present best practices for data strategy, governance, MDM, and data management to business executives.
- Leverage experience across industries such as Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Energy, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, and Technology.
- Deliver industry-specific solutions for Financial Services, emphasizing data quality and compliance.
- Maintain data relevancy, quality, security, and compliance through MDM principles.
- Build client relationships through data-driven design and review of MDM and governance models.
- Assess and improve MDM maturity levels, developing capability enhancement strategies.
- Address business challenges with MDM and governance concepts, leading workshops and evaluating readiness.
- Develop requirements for MDM frameworks, advocate platform adoption, lead technical design and project management.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in MDM and data governance within a professional services or similar environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field; Master's or MBA preferred.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing MDM solutions and strategies.
- Experience with MDM tools such as Informatica, Reltio, SAP MDG, IBM InfoSphere; certifications are a plus.
- Industry certifications like CDMP, CIMP, DGSP, or DCAM are highly desirable.
- Strong consulting skills, understanding of business operations, and ability to manage engagements and communicate with senior management.
- Deep sector-specific or process-specific experience in MDM and data governance strategies.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and travel as needed.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
