ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an Engineering Manager for our innovative machinery manufacturing clients! You will be responsible for the execution of engineering projects, product development and people management. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent team leadership / people management skills and strong mechanical engineering and process development background!

Manage entire mechanical engineering department and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Provide technical leadership to set engineering priorities, assign resources, and lead technical reviews.
Responsible for final engineering sign-off at each stage from concept through production, including engineering changes.
Lead critical evaluation of complex technical issues and provide solutions to engineering challenges.
Participate in strategic planning on the senior management team.
Articulate a clear direction for the company, inspiring employees and stakeholders.
Supervise the engineering team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
Maintain ISO 9001 certification standards and oversee the implementation of quality assurance processes within the engineering team.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years in a management position.
Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Extensive mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing and highly regulated environment.
Ideally mechanical design experience related to machine building, heavy-duty equipment or large steel structures.
Overseeing product development projects from cradle to grave.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management, and product development.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to product design and development.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
Technical project management and leadership experience.
