Electrical Design Engineer – Mission Critical Data Centers
As an electrical design engineer on our mission-critical hyperscale data centers team, you will focus on designing and redesigning data centers across the United States, especially those as large as 30+ megawatts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design core and shell layouts, data halls, and redesigns of data centers
- Contribute to strategic technical decisions and development needs
- Perform BIM Mapping
- Prepare or modify reports, plans, and designs
- Evaluate products for application suitability
- Provide guidance to electrical designers
- Identify gaps in industry and discipline knowledge
- Maintain knowledge of industry software (Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office)
- Research industry trends, codes, and standards
- Follow Henderson's design guidelines and standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field preferred; 7 years relevant experience or 9 years without degree
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience with mission-critical design
- Proficiency in engineering design, codes, and standards
- Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of mission-critical equipment
- Experience designing data centers from start to finish
- Experience with medium voltage designs

Salary ranges vary by location, e.g., Washington D.C.: $123,342 - $185,014. Individual salaries depend on various factors including experience and geographic location.
