Position Overview
We are looking for a talented Electrical & Mechanical Field Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated parking systems, lifts, and related equipment. This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
What You’ll Do
- System Expertise: Master our systems to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment on-site.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve equipment issues to ensure optimal system performance.
- Customer Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and confidence in our technology.
- Field Installations & Training: Install systems at client sites and provide comprehensive user training.
- Remote Support Collaboration: Work closely with our remote support team to understand issues before arriving on-site.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Safety First: Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Efficiency & Innovation: Contribute ideas to improve equipment performance and service efficiency.
- Online Support: Use Utron’s proprietary Dashboard system for remote diagnostics and support.
Qualifications
- Technical Background: Experience with mechanical and electrical systems, ideally including: - High-voltage equipment - Motors, chains, and conveyor systems - Heavy machinery - Working in elevated or confined spaces
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to collaborate effectively with both on-site and remote teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing communication.
- Experience & Education: 3+ years in a similar field service role; vocational training or degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, night shifts, and respond to on-call service needs.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using mobile devices and computers.
Nice-to-Have (Not Required)
- Welding or forklift experience
- PLCs, firmware flashing, and hardware updates
- Knowledge of wired/wireless communication protocols
Shift Options
- Day Shifts: Wednesday to Sunday (6 AM–2 PM or 8 AM–4 PM)
- Night Shifts: 10 PM–6 AM
- On-Call: As needed for urgent service calls
