About our role
Northern Star Resources have full-time, permanent opportunities for experienced Excavator Operators to join our world-class Thunderbox, Bronzewing and Carosue Dam Operations. These opportunities are offered on an even time 15 shifts on, 13 days off roster.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Maintain optimal production through the excavation of ore and waste from the mine.
- Conduct pre-start meetings in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures.
- Report hazards when encountering them to ensure a safe work environment.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe operation of mobile plant equipment.
- Work towards reducing costs in daily jobs by not wasting resources at hand.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Excavator Operator, including 5 years’ experience in an open pit environment. Gold mining experience highly regarded.
Qualification: Current Australian C – Class Drivers licence.
Passion for growth: Interest in gold mining with high regard to safety.
