LHH is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Washington, DC area to identify a sharp, reliable, and proactive Administrative Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position offers an excellent pathway to a permanent role within a respected organization, with long-term career potential and meaningful work supporting senior leadership. This Administrative Assistant will provide high-level support to 4–5 Managing Directors within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, exceptionally detail-oriented, and thrives in a role where they can take initiative, manage competing priorities, and serve as a critical organizational point of contact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support to multiple Managing Directors.
- Take full ownership of complex calendar management, including proactive scheduling of meetings and handling changes with minimal oversight.
- Manage domestic and international travel arrangements, ensuring all logistics are handled with precision.
- Prepare and process expense reports using Concur.
- Draft, proofread, and edit correspondence and documents with strong attention to detail.
- Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating professional communication at all levels.
- Support team operations using Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Take initiative and demonstrate autonomy in handling daily tasks and anticipating team needs.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of prior experience supporting senior-level executives, ideally in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Concur, and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, especially in proofreading and document preparation.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
