We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Administrative Assistant to support an operations. This individual will be the main point of contact at the Palmdale location, working independently to manage day-to-day administrative functions and support union members, business representatives, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office operations independently with minimal supervision
- Handle phones, emails, mail, office supplies, and package deliveries
- Support union members with applications, dues processing, and general inquiries
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
- Prepare and manage weekly and monthly reports using Microsoft Excel
- Reconcile accounting and reporting data; manage petty cash
- Assist with new member onboarding and applications
- Maintain a clean and organized office space, including kitchen area
- Coordinate Zoom meetings and manage basic technology functions (browser, docking stations, etc.)
- Provide support for annual and semi-annual projects, including dues calculation and company communications
- Potential involvement in travel planning for conferences (held every 4 years)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Professional demeanor, with the ability to interact with executives from companies such as Lockheed Martin
- Advanced Microsoft Suite & tech savy
- Comfortable working alone for extended periods; must be self-sufficient
- Experience with ADP or payroll is a plus (not required)
- Paralegal background or knowledge is a plus
- Familiarity with shared drives and basic tech troubleshooting
Work Environment:
- Casual and professional setting (jeans acceptable with clean presentation)
- Older office infrastructure - must be comfortable working in a non-modern setting
- Friendly, long-tenured team (most employees have been with the organization for 10+ years)

Payrate- $23-26hr once perm $32hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-5pm (must be flexible to come in early for meetings/events)
