MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as direct supervisor of Superintendent to ensure that facilities are maintained in a safe and secure manner consistent with funder requirements.
Partner with PD to support maintenance team performance.
Provide peer training to PDs to optimize day-to-day operations oversight.
Support PD in filling maintenance personnel gaps to ensure site operations.
Partner with PD to facilitate hiring of maintenance team.
Conduct on-boarding planning and implementation.
Track and implement violations remediation procedures.
Approve vendor engagement.
Support utilization targets through unit turnover.
Ensure site preparation for internal and external audits.
Track and monitor capital projects.
Implement on-call procedures.
Manage daily location/shift schedule.
Track facilities policies and procedures to ensure they are being followed.
Identify and manage vendor work and that it is completed according to plan.
Ensure life/safety processes are being followed.
Support new site openings; support staff recruitment; train new staff; support furniture/equipment delivery; manage on-site vendor punch list; coordinate maintenance work schedule implementation with Superintendent; supervise site mechanical and other systems operations.
Support development of career pathing for staff in partnership with P&C.
Provide support and professional development opportunities for all assigned staff through the development, monitoring and maintenance of individual performance goals and objectives.
Participate in and/or lead facility management meetings as needed and/or directed.
Collaborate with program leadership and Superintendent to ensure completion of weekly unit and common area inspections at each facility.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Associate's Degree a plus.
Appropriate Certificate of Fitness (F80) from FDNY preferred upon hire.
Fire safety Director credential.
Valid Driver's License.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) years of facilities management experience with a concentration on managing multiple projects across multiple locations; specifically, in projects requiring significant resources, cross-functional involvement with the ability to meet and organize multiple project deadlines in fast paced high energy working environment.
Demonstrated solid ability to understand plans/blueprints and complete details to specs.
Demonstrated ability to interface with contractors to drive project schedules and to bring project in on time (within budget)
Availability to be contacted 24-hours per day in emergency situations as well as be responsive to program staff by communicating in a professional manner for assigned sites.
Satisfactory writing skills with an ability to manage and organize multiple projects in a busy, pressured working environment.
Ability to work independently, assess priorities, take initiative, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with people of diverse educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds.
Must be a responsible individual with a reputable character, known to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work well under pressure and demonstrate a calm manner during crises.
Strong business acumen with professional integrity and thought leadership skills.
Experience and interest in internal and external communications, partnership development, and strong community awareness and astuteness.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands of the job include standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
Able to travel between sites throughout NYC.
Able to work outdoors in adverse conditions (heat or cold).
Salary: $73,000 - $96, 900
