ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking a remote Field Applications Specialist to join our commercial organization. In this role, you'll support product sales, provide expert scientific advice, and collaborate with laboratories to design innovative applications. You'll be the crucial link between our customers, R&D, and Sales & Marketing teams, driving product enhancements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
This is a field-based role and requires 25-50% annual travel domestically within the U.S.

Responsibilities
- Scientific Expertise and Customer Support: Provide scientific expertise and applications support to customers on ATCC's cellular biology products and services, especially our primary cells. Support product evaluations by customers. Offer technical mentorship to customers, enhancing their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Sales Collaboration and Customer Engagement: Partner with direct and indirect sales teams to deliver pre- and post-sales customer support activities. Address customer issues effectively and timely with optimal solutions.
- Product Development and Market Insights: Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, and customers for BETA testing of new products. Gather data on marketing trends, competitive products, and pricing to inform product development and sales strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years' experience or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Biochemistry, or a related field; advanced degree (MS or PhD) preferred.
- Candidates with advanced degrees (MS or PhD) with 0-3 years of experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong background and knowledge of cellular biology preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with BETA testing and product development is a plus.
Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
