LMS Energy is Australia’s largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill.LMS requires the services of a full-time or part-time Financial Accountant in Unley, South Australia.
You will work closely with the Finance team and partner with the broader business, with primary responsibilities including month end and annual financial reporting, supporting budgeting and reforecasting and preparing project and fixed asset reports, while also supporting key business decisions through meaningful financial analysis. You’ll help drive process improvements to streamline reporting and boost efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management and board reporting including journals, adjustments and reconciliations
Provide financial analysis to ensure the accurate recording of costs and provision of useful information for strategic decision-making
Preparation of year-end journals, adjustments and reconciliations
Assist with preparation of year-end financial statements
Liaise with external auditors to ensure appropriate accounting treatment is applied to LMS’ financials and resolve queries
Assist with tax compliance for Australia, New Zealand and USA
Preparation of project and fixed asset reporting and forecasts, including liaising with other Groups to ensure appropriate information is received
Assist with Joint venture accounting for LMS’ multiple JV’s
Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts
Assist with identifying and implementing automation / process improvements to continue to modernise the finance function
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance and/or Accounting
- CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards it)
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Australian Drivers Licence
