Financial Specialist, f/t. Objecutive, Inc., Fort Lee, NJ. Middle Office Service (90%) - Provides middle-office support to client with an AUM of over USD 400 million. Support entails: Book orders of various instrument types in FundStudio, communicate with brokers, and ensure that trade instructions settle in the market without any issues.Stay on top of all currency balances for all the portfolios and perform calculations to ensure that there are enough funds for any trades that were executed that day or any future orders and transactions. If there is a deficit currency balance, instruct foreign exchange transactions on third-party platforms such as State Street and BNY Mellon. Notify custodians with a list of the sources of fundings for the required foreign exchange transactions. Check that these foreign exchange transactions are priced out and settled in a timely manner and upload said transactions into FundStudio.Maintain record of all corporate actions e.g. cash dividends, stock splits, and ensure that these are received/effective with the accurate amount and in a timely fashion.Communicate with the portfolio managers regarding repatriations of any sale proceeds and cash dividends.Provide daily update email to the portfolio managers and traders about any foreign exchange transactions and corporate actions.Run daily checks to confirm that the cash balances for all currencies are accurate and valid, and all trades executed that day have been matched and released to the market.Lead weekly meetings with custodian to discuss any outstanding issues that need to be resolved.Carry out cash and position reconciliation daily between FundStudio and third parties, such as custodians like State Street and BNY Mellon. Identify discrepancies and reach out to third parties for resolution.Prepare month-end financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, net returns etc) for all portfolios and perform checks on these reports to verify the data is accurate. Affirm the data in the reports from FundStudio tie with the data in the reports provided by the client's fund administrator.Book redemptions and subscriptions into FundStudio as confirmed by the client.Assist the client with building any custom financial reports they might require. Customer Support (10%)Analyze system calculations for various instrument types (i.e. bonds, equities, futures) and help clients to better understand the calculations and their impact on profit and loss and/or impact on various financial reports (i.e., balance sheets and income statements).Review financial reports with clients and resolve any system discrepancies or errors reported by them in a timely manner.Assist clients with building custom financial reports via Report Writer, a proprietary tool part of the FundStudio package. Help clients understand these reports and verify the calculations in the report are correctly reflecting as expected.Analyze the flow of data from various data source points and ensure that system calculations are correctly flowing and reflecting the Fund's activities in FundStudio.Use of the Microsoft SQL server to assess data and calculations swiftly and to assist clients' queries smoothly.Part of the quality assurance team; responsible for testing out new technical updates to the system. Point out any bugs/issues in the system and work with developers to resolve the issue.Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance or closed related field. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Financial Specialist or similar occupation. Solid knowledge of financial accounting. Annual salary: $86,000-$90,000. Health and dental insurance, 401k, PTO.
