To support this vision, they’re hiring a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to help shape the core of the company—technically and culturally.
About the Role
As a Founding Engineer, you won’t just be writing code—you’ll be helping define the direction of the business. You’ll work side-by-side with the founding team in San Francisco, owning product development across the stack, running bi-weekly sprints, and building tools that redefine how the U.S. government engages with industry. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role designed for someone who wants to help build a company from first principles and solve problems that matter.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and ship full-stack products using React, Next.js, and Python.
- Drive rapid iteration and experimentation through tightly scoped product sprints.
- Travel monthly to Washington, D.C. to deploy products and deepen customer relationships.
- Collaborate directly with DoD and government users.
- Help shape and scale the company’s engineering culture from day one.
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship (due to the nature of the work).
- Onsite presence in the San Francisco office.
- 0–3 years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in React, Next.js, and Python.
- Passion for solving high-stakes, mission-critical problems in national security.
- Ability to work autonomously in a flat, high-trust environment.
- Comfort presenting work directly to users and iterating based on feedback.
Nice to Have:
- Background in fast-paced, product-first environments (e.g., Notion, Palantir, Adeo, Aldaril).
- Experience with AI agents through personal or side projects.
- Desire to build in-person alongside a tight-knit team of founders and early hires.
