Job Summary
Uncle Julio’s seeks experienced and passionate Restaurant Managers to join our upscale casual dining team and create memorable Mexican experiences for our guests.
The Restaurant General Manager oversees the restaurant's success, ensuring high standards, guest satisfaction, sales growth, profitability, and facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
Financial:
- Manage daily operations including ordering, purchasing, guest relations, and service standards.
- Ensure accuracy in cash handling and reconcile tips and change orders.
- Handle inventory reporting, variances, and forecasting.
- Forecast sales and labor budgets, and oversee invoicing and vendor communication.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations and manage scheduling, payroll, and record-keeping.
Quality Assurance:
- Maintain food and beverage quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure performance in EcoSure and health inspections.
Management:
- Lead with professionalism, integrity, and emotional maturity.
- Provide clear instructions, uphold company standards, and coach staff.
- Review financials, conduct meetings, and set departmental goals.
- Interact with guests to build loyalty and manage staffing effectively.
- Handle hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and development programs.
- Represent the restaurant in meetings and develop operational policies.
- Address guest and crew complaints and make transfer decisions.
Essential Skills
- Effective leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, and financial skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain composure under stress.
Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- 2-4 years of full-service management experience with a sales volume of $4M+.
- Stable employment history.
- Preferred college degree in business or hospitality management.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., reach up to 6 feet, and work in tight spaces.
