Job description
The Telecommunications Analyst is responsible for the maintenance and support of the telecommunication and associated peripheral systems, including PBX devices and voice mail. This role involves:
- Monitoring all campus and remote facility telecommunications systems.
- Providing ongoing customer service by responding to both routine and emergency service calls.
- Installing wiring, cables, and jacks.
- Installing and relocating telecommunications equipment.
- Analyzing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
- Conducting client telephone and voice mail feature training sessions.
- Serving as a liaison between the hospital, the local telephone companies, and interexchange carriers when resolving any external network problems.
- Maintaining and monitoring all installed and peripheral PBX systems, devices, and applications including Voice Mail, CDR, ACD, overhead paging, and dictation.
- Monitoring system terminals, modems, and batteries.
- On-call duty may be required.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
