We are actively hiring a HLT Specialist w/Mandarin to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Linguists will provide translations focusing mainly on topics in science and technology.
Oral interpretation for a range of meetings: policy analytical, technical exchange/engagement meetings spread across all levels from working group to high official visits as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Bachelor's degree is desired
Minimum 10 years relevant experience
Interpretation between source and Target Language
Translation into both English and Target Language
Transcription from Source Language into English
Quality Control and Editing of language products
Collection, Content Management, Triage, Workflow, Terminology Management
Monitoring, Scanning Selection, Social Media, Blogging
Language Training,
HLT
Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
Subject Matter Expertise in areas of Cyber, Military, Science and Technology, Politics, and Sponsor Organization
PREFERRED SKILLS
Interpretation between source and target language
Prior service/veteran, current US military experience (Reserves or Guard), or related experience working with US military entities
Prior experience supporting IC linguist requirements
