Description We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at a prominent museum in Los Angeles, California. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead the organization's HR framework as it prepares for a major public opening. As a long-term contract position, this role requires a strategic thinker who can build inclusive policies, foster a strong organizational culture, and guide key HR functions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the museum's mission, vision, and values.
Collaborate with leadership to create an inclusive and culturally responsive workplace environment.
Oversee the deployment and optimization of HR systems to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Design and execute comprehensive onboarding programs to help employees integrate successfully into the organization.
Lead training and development initiatives to promote career growth, leadership skills, and team effectiveness.
Support workforce planning and employee engagement strategies to drive organizational success.
Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging practices across all HR activities.
Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on performance management and workplace culture.
Act as a trusted liaison between leadership and staff to foster transparency, trust, and collaboration. Requirements - Proven experience in a senior HR role, such as HR Director or Senior Generalist, with a strong strategic focus.
Proficiency in HR systems, including platforms like ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian.
Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, compliance, and benefit functions.
Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and their application in the workplace.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff and leadership.
Experience with workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
Ability to design and implement impactful training and onboarding programs.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and core HR processes. TalentMatch®
