As the site HSE Advisor, you will work with an experienced team of construction professionals to ensure project governance and implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, providing visible leadership during site construction activities.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and liaise with external subcontractors to ensure compliance with Vestas HSE standards. This role offers an excellent chance to leverage your knowledge and gain further experience in wind farm construction.
Roster: 3 weeks on, 1 week off
Location: Western Australia, Warradarge 2 Wind Farm
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective project construction leadership and support in all HSE matters.
- Ensure compliance with HSE systems and processes at the project site.
- Ensure adherence to statutory legislation regarding Workplace, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
- Coordinate and conduct inspections.
- Provide HSE reports to the project leadership team as requested.
- Ensure compliance with HSE training requirements within the project.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ensure all work complies with Vestas HSE policies, goals, and targets.
- Develop and assist in coordinating the Project HSE Delivery plan and initiatives.
- Ensure project HSE targets and goals are achieved.
- Disseminate HSE-related information to project personnel.
Qualifications:
- OHS/WHS Diploma (minimum); OHS/WHS Advanced Diploma (preferred)
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (preferred)
- Previous experience as an HSE advisor in wind farm or major construction projects
- Understanding of HSE management systems and ISO 45001 certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Professional commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment
- High-level understanding of HSE information and effective response supervision
