Opportunity Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare Human Resources leader to be part of our new hospital and develop a long-lasting positive culture!
Position Responsibilities
Under the direction of the CEO, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for the daily operation of the Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center Human Resource Department, including HR administration, talent acquisition and retention, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, and regulatory compliance. Provides HR guidance to facility leadership in coaching, counseling, disciplining, termination, performance appraisals, benefits, policy interpretation, and compliance. Partners with leadership and employees to drive change, shape culture, and promote programs fostering an engaged workforce.
Position Requirements
- Oversee HR activities such as onboarding, leave administration, regulatory compliance, and additional areas like Service Excellence, volunteers, Workers' Compensation, and Employee Health.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies, hiring, and onboarding processes.
- Manage and monitor the compensation program to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Lead the 90-day and annual performance management processes.
- Guide leadership and managers in merit planning and regulatory compliance, including Joint Commission, unemployment, EEOC, I-9s, etc.
- Ensure HR areas meet TJC regulatory requirements and maintain HR files and audits.
- Provide education and recommendations on HR processes and legal requirements.
- Meet deadlines for reporting to corporate and hospital leadership.
- Manage surveys, initiatives, investigations, and employee retention strategies.
- Administer the Employee Engagement Survey and facilitate action planning to meet engagement goals.
- Promote employee satisfaction through recognition, communication, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Provide feedback and support to HR staff, review performance, and assist with employee recognition and events.
- Participate in Town Halls and facilitate committees as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; Master’s preferred.
- HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of professional HR experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Healthcare experience strongly desired.
- Knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, TJC, CMS regulations.
- Experience with high-volume recruitment, employee engagement, and HRIS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
