Synergy Search is partnering with a growing and established firm in the Montgomery County area to hire an HR & Recruiting Coordinator. This role offers the opportunity to step into a dynamic environment where HR and recruiting intersect – perfect for a proactive professional ready to own processes, drive culture, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
• Lead onboarding/offboarding for technical, field, and administrative staff
• Ensure HRIS accuracy and maintain confidential employee records
• Maintain compliance with labor laws and company policies
• Support performance reviews, training, and professional development
• Handle employee relations across all office and field teams
• Help draft and implement HR policies
Recruiting
• Partner with department leaders to define and fill staffing needs
• Write and post job descriptions across platforms
• Source and screen candidates (with a focus on engineering and field roles)
• Coordinate interviews and assessments
• Manage offers, references, and hiring process logistics
• Maintain talent pipelines for future growth
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in HR and/or recruitment
• Strong knowledge of labor law and compliance
• Organized, dependable, and eager to drive process improvements
• Comfortable interacting with both office and job-site staff
Bonus Points For:
• Experience in the industry
• Familiarity with Deltek software
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification

This is a full-time, in-office role located in Silver Spring, MD. A hybrid schedule may be considered after a six-month onboarding period.
