ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages day to day Human Resources business operations for community site.
- Administers team member benefit plans; to include health insurance, disability insurance, and 403(b) retirement plans. Facilities open enrollment and monthly team member enrollments, and serves as liaison between team members and broker/benefit plan representatives.
- Coordinates and tracks team member leave of absences in accordance with policies and state and federal regulations.
- Manages HRIS system, including performance management and merit increase process, position management, applicant tracking system, benefits administration and COBRA, ACA administration, and data entry for payroll and HRIS purposes.
- Serves as primary HR contact for team member relations matters, answering team member questions and handling complaints, and resolving disputes and conflicts in the workplace.
- Advises, coaches and counsels supervisors and directors on interpreting and practicing organizational policy, effectively managing work-related issues; interpersonal issues/conflicts, and progressive disciplinary actions.
- Participates in workplace investigations and focus group interviews as necessary.
- Develops and evaluates statistical reports on turnover, HR planning and staffing.
- Participates in the creation and revision of HR policies, procedures, forms, etc.
- Manages team member scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs.
- Coordinates unemployment compensation claims, and counsels managers attending hearings.
- Maintains human resources and team member files in accordance with State & Federal regulations.
- Conducts internal and external compensation analysis.
- Plans and coordinates team member recognition events and wellness initiatives.
- Participates in the creation and administration of supervisory training and new team member welcome programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR management, HRIS & benefits administration.
- Working knowledge of HR related employment laws & practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and HR Information Systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work with and interact effectively with all individuals within the organization, including coworkers, residents, family members, visitors, government representatives, and the general public.
