Responsibilities
Peraton has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Information Technology Modernization Consultant to support modernization and delivery of high-quality IT solutions for a critical Federal agency. Working within the Office of Information Technology (OCIO), the candidate will lead enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment, bringing continuous improvement and innovation to the agency and its mission.
This position is located in the Washington, DC/MD/VA area.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment initiatives.
- Understand the agency’s current technologies and suggest improvements.
- Identify processes and systems that can be enhanced with technology.
- Plan projects, implement technology transformations, and monitor outcomes.
- Troubleshoot technology issues and implement improvements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on new technologies.
- Foster collaborative relationships with agency stakeholders and the OCIO to ensure project success.
Note: Position contingent upon contract award.
Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- 8+ years of experience with a BS/BA; 6+ years with an MS/MA; or 3+ years with a PhD.
- Degrees in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related fields.
- Experience as an IT Project Manager.
- Hands-on experience in software sustainment and IT modernization.
- At least 1 year of experience implementing AI/Gen AI engagement in a Federal environment.
- Leadership experience in enterprise-level IT systems development, including transitions, modernizations, acquisitions, and transformations within the Federal sector.
- Experience working with federal government customers.
- Certifications: CSP Foundational Certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP, AND an Artificial Intelligence Certification.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting work.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000, depending on experience and other factors.
