Opportunity at a Glance
The Instructional Designer, under the guidance of the Sr. Manager of Instructional Design, develops engaging, high-quality learning materials for ACAMS certification and courses. This role involves transforming complex content into learner-centered materials tailored for professionals preparing for certifications, working closely with Product Managers, SMEs, and Media Production teams to ensure content aligns with objectives, audience needs, and business goals. The ideal candidate has experience with online learning design, content authoring tools, and creating impactful interactive materials.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop instructional materials, assessments, and interactive elements for certification and certificate courses, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and industry standards.
- Establish strong relationships with SMEs to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and quality.
- Collaborate with SMEs to interpret complex subject matter into clear, engaging learning materials.
- Develop content that captures essential KSAs aligned with certification requirements.
- Write instructional content that is clear, concise, and learner-friendly.
- Work with knowledge management resources to develop reusable content, ensuring consistency across products.
- Partner with Product Managers and Media Teams to understand goals and integrate multimedia elements.
- Ensure all materials meet standards of accuracy, clarity, and accessibility, adapting content for different learning levels.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or related field.
- 3+ years of instructional design experience, preferably in professional training, EdTech, or financial services sectors.
- Strong writing skills for clear, engaging instructional content.
- Ability to convey KSAs effectively for certification success.
- Proven relationship-building skills with SMEs.
- Knowledge of content re-use strategies and collaboration with knowledge management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, learner-focused, and committed to quality.
- Fluent in English; additional languages preferred.
- Flexibility to work off-hours and occasional travel.
