Job Responsibilities
We seek an experienced Instrumentation Engineer for our Process Automation and Systems Division, part of the Process & Control Systems Department. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting instrumentation systems such as level, temperature, pressure, control valves, emergency isolation valves, flow measurement, and gauges.
- Conducting engineering studies to optimize solutions, enhance safety, and reduce costs.
- Leading incident investigations and technical problem-solving teams.
- Developing and maintaining engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Evaluating vendor capabilities and acting as a technical liaison.
- Performing technical evaluations and bid assessments.
- Introducing innovative technologies and best practices.
- Performing cost analyses and value engineering studies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical); Master's or PhD preferred.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience, ideally with a major Oil & Gas company or instrumentation suppliers.
- Experience in plant instrumentation sizing and selection.
- Certifications such as ISA-CAP, CFSP, TUV FSEng, PE, or Chartered Engineer license.
- Knowledge of H2S, LEL, pH, conductivity, and gas detection systems is preferred.
- Proficiency with industry codes (API, ISO, ASME, etc.).
- Experience in HAZOP, SIL, P&ID, and design reviews.
- Understanding of control systems and communication protocols.
- Active membership in professional societies like ISA or IEEE for at least 3 years.
