Interaction/UX Sound Designer - Wearables Responsibilities:
Autonomously drive complex interaction sound design + haptics projects from discovery to completion
Create unique, memorable, and landmark sonic experiences for the 3+ billion people who use Meta technologies
Use your proven understanding of User Interface/User Experience sound design to define and distill broad concepts into actionable deliverables
Create and adhere to sound design systems - audio design standards, guidelines, and best practices
Act as a source of truth for sound design, design standards, best practices, and implementation guidelines
Execute in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment
Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless systems alignment, cohesive audio experiences, and successful project delivery
Influence key business decisions, leveraging clear data-driven decision making
Influence, drive quality and leverage existing resources for product consistency and efficiency
Develop and maintain a consistent sonic brand identity across key Meta touchpoints
Communicates effectively with technical teams and software developers to ensure seamless and efficient sound implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years creating UI sonic experiences for products in mobile, hardware, and/or non-traditional or immersive environments
Understanding of Design Systems and system-level thinking
Experience creating bespoke sound design for high-profile products
Experience with sound design synthesis and foley recording
Proven experience with effective communication across a broad range of stakeholders, collaborators and clients, as well as time-management skills
Demonstrated skills in Pro Tools and/or other professional DAWs
Understanding of human-centered design
Proven experience to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, with a problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to identifying and addressing sound design and implementation problems
Experience leading, managing, scoping and communicating project milestones and deliverables
Understanding of haptics design patterns and principles

Experience designing UI/UX audio specifically for AR and VR experiences
Experience mixing in a variety of formats, including spatial audio
Experience creating audio for system-level software development
Video editing skills (Premier Pro, Final Cut, Avid, etc)
Understanding of programming and technical sound paradigms in VR, AR, or other immersive mediums

$137,000/year to $191,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
