Description

The Pension and Endowments Department (PEN) manages the financial aspects of the World Bank's benefit plans, including retirement and insurance programs. The Pension Investments (PENIN) team oversees the investment of plan assets, managing approximately US$40 billion across various asset classes.
This Investment Analyst role is primarily for the Fixed Income team, supporting portfolio construction, manager selection, monitoring, and analysis activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and participate in portfolio construction.
- Perform analyses of Fixed Income managers and monitor portfolio performance.
- Assist in developing financial models and managing databases.
- Prepare reports and presentations for investment committees.
- Stay updated on market developments and support additional projects as needed.
Selection Criteria
- Master’s degree in finance, mathematics, engineering, or related field, or two years of relevant experience.
- Professional certifications like CFA or CAIA are a plus.
- Strong quantitative skills, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with Python, R, or Matlab are desirable.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and ethical standards.
