Job Summary
Documents and analyzes required information and data. Prepares requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations. Develops accurate and complete test plans. Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
Supports the delivery of project initiatives within the framework of larger projects by assisting Project Managers in facilitating meetings with project stakeholders. Develops work breakdown structures and assists Project Managers in the development, analysis, and management of project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts. Monitors financial aspects for assigned project initiatives. Monitors project performance against plan and makes adjustments as needed. Identifies and escalates issues and participates in the request for information and vendor request for proposal processes.
Supports the management, control, and mitigation of project risks by assisting in the analysis and identification of trigger events. Identifies project risks, recommends mitigation decisions, and provides insight for the development of contingency plans. Anticipates and communicates dependencies affected by ongoing project changes.
Provides ongoing support to project personnel by communicating with project team members to ensure scheduled data and changes are accurately interpreted and accounted. Works with team members to keep project costs forecasted and recorded. Provides real time updates to Project Managers regarding scheduling conflicts and budget disparities.
Adheres to enterprise project management practices by participating in formal and informal training sessions. Tracks and reports key metrics as needed. Gathers and reports team feedback and lessons learned to project management.
Nature and Scope
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
