IT Support Specialist at Zakat Foundation of America
Join us to apply for the IT Support Specialist role at Zakat Foundation of America. This position involves working closely with the IT Manager to support staff and office IT needs, responding to support requests, and maintaining IT systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to helpdesk requests and provide technical support to end users.
- Install and configure PC, MS Windows, and other client software.
- Manage network and system troubleshooting, including LAN and VPN issues.
- Assist with hardware setup, deployment, and maintenance for computers and network equipment.
- Create documentation, update procedures, and support end-user training.
- Manage hardware assets, support cloud services like Office 365 and Azure, and utilize remote management tools.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in change management and training activities.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and security checks on IT systems.
- Support mobile device management and remote troubleshooting.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of helpdesk or IT support experience.
- Knowledge of Windows, Mac, networking, and security systems.
- Certifications such as A+, Network+ preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, entry-level position based in Chicago, IL, with an expected salary range of $50,000-$60,000. The role may require 20% travel and occasional shift work between 9AM-5PM CST. The environment is smoke-free and drug-free.
