Responsible for managing, administering, modifying, maintaining, repairing, and documenting various organization operating and support systems. Ensures the stability, security, and reliability of all servers, systems, and network infrastructure, as well as assisting with the development and implementation of various IT projects, while aligning IT strategies with the goals of the banking organization.
This position can be located in Sioux Falls, SD, or Pierre, SD.
What you will do
- Ensures the stability, security, and reliability of all servers, systems, and network infrastructure.
- Implements changes to the Bank’s systems, taking into consideration user needs, security, and complex system requirements.
- Performs system and network administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware and software.
- Independently troubleshoots system issues and makes changes to correct the issues, following Bank policy.
- Monitors system performance and responds to alerts and incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Implements and manages a data backup and recovery plan in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Develops and maintains system documentation, policies and procedures, as well as performs common scheduled tasks.
- Collaborates with other IT team members to plan and implement various IT projects, including software installations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Participates in the development of IT security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the security of the data and systems.
- Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs.
- Provides knowledgeable support and guidance to end-users on hardware, software and network issues.
- Works on strategic projects and initiatives, as assigned.
- May act as a team resource to co-workers in areas of expertise, offering support, guidance and direction.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- 5+ years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of data backup and recovery techniques and tools.
- Strong technical skills in server and network infrastructure including, but not limited to, Microsoft Operating Systems, UNIX, Linux, Unisys, MCP, Fiserv Applications, and other proprietary banking platforms.
