As a Junior Data Engineer at Flux Tailor, you will help integrate data and data pipelines into software features for our clients. Your projects will include assisting the development of schemas for energy usage and rate plan data, used for energy cost modeling for clients; the development of SaaS market intelligence solutions for organizations to find a market fit for their products and services; and public-facing applications that help people optimize their energy consumption.
You will be responsible for studying, ingesting, normalizing, and publishing data from a variety of sources. You should have a proven background and technical experience in a variety of domains, including computer science, data engineering, data science, analytics, AI, ML, and visualization. Along the way you will learn about the utility and clean energy transition domains.
You will work closely with Flux Tailor's team to design and build robust data engineer solutions. The ideal candidate has a passion for clean energy, takes pride in building high-quality data systems, and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
Role Responsibilities:
-Evaluate existing data schemas for energy data -Develop classification hierarchies for data harmonization -Develop input and output schemas -Support API Design -Design and implement energy cost modeling frameworks -Develop PoC solutions to test schemas and API design -Create and manage data models, schemas, and data dictionaries to ensure data quality and consistency -Develop data ingestion processes to capture data from multiple sources and normalize it for analysis -Work with other data analysts and data scientists to provide data for analysis and reporting purposes -Design data schemas that combine different sources of data for generating reports -Ensure high quality output while working efficiently -Apply relational database skills including advanced SQL knowledge and the ability to create complex queries and stored procedures -Collaborate with the team in the design and execution of solutions and standards -Provide facilitation, analysis, design, and execution of architecture solutions and ensure solutions are properly utilized and maintained -Analyze and propose solution alternatives to address specific business needs and product strategies -Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in all relevant domains and explore emerging technologies -Ensure availability and assist with maintenance of data and systems -Document and communicate changes to data and systemsCore Competencies

Also, open to candidates who are not "junior" in this work and who qualify for a Data Engineer position.
Salary - $70,000 per year
