About The Team
This role is part of UKG’s Offensive Security practice, responsible for all penetration testing and red team operations. We identify, validate, and measure the effectiveness of our security controls across UKG.
About The Role
We seek an experienced Lead Red Team Operator to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have extensive red team experience, capable of leading complex assessments and mentoring junior members. Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute Red Team operations aligned with organizational threats and business objectives.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor team members, fostering continuous learning and skill development.
- Collaboration with Other Teams: Work with Blue Team and SIRT to enhance detection and response capabilities.
- Development of Custom Tools and Techniques: Innovate tools, payloads, and techniques to simulate threats, automate attacks, and contribute to open-source projects.
- Threat Intelligence and Modeling: Stay informed on security trends and research; model threats and develop mitigation strategies.
- Business Impact Analysis: Identify critical assets and focus Red Team efforts accordingly.
- Reporting and Communication: Write detailed reports and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Policy and Process Enhancement: Collaborate to improve organizational policies and processes against threats.
Requirements
About You:
- 7+ years of offensive security experience supporting various engagements across industries.
- Expertise with Windows, MacOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iOS, Android.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, O365, Google Workspace) and container tech (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Mastery in Windows Active Directory exploitation and lateral movement.
- Experience in custom tool development, reverse engineering, evasion techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, C/C++, PowerShell, Bash.
- Understanding of network/web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, WebAPIs).
- Proven social engineering skills, reconnaissance, phishing/vishing.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional skills include:
- Exploit development and assembly (x86/arm).
- Threat modeling, threat intelligence, incident response.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD.
- Physical penetration testing, RFID hacking.
- Blockchain security knowledge.
- Certifications like OSCP, GWAPT, GPEN are a plus.
