Advisor to Leadership on THE Lean MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The role involves advising leadership on the effective deployment and sustainment of the Lean Management System. Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding how to deploy Lean resources effectively during various phases of implementation and sustainment.
- Determining the appropriate timing to progress to the next phase to avoid overwhelming local Lean resources.
- Identifying gaps that could potentially derail Lean implementation or sustainment.
- Assisting in translating business goals into a Lean format.
- Enhancing the adoption of Lean principles and capturing momentum during Lean Transformation.
Coaching and Leadership Development
Additional responsibilities involve observing Lean Coaches and Practitioners, providing immediate feedback, and fostering continuous improvement. This includes:
- Observing Lean Coaches and Practitioners during their duties, offering immediate feedback on successes and opportunities for improvement, and coaching the coaches by asking thought-provoking questions.
- Meeting regularly with assigned Lean Coaches to support their learning, develop Lean Practitioners, and ensure Lean activities are progressing as planned.
- Facilitating and educating leadership in Lean methods and tools necessary for sustaining Lean embedment, including providing one-on-one Lean Executive Leadership coaching.
