Description
Boutique law firm has an immediate opening for an entry level Legal Assistant to join the office in San Carlos, California. This Legal Assistant will play a key role in managing administrative tasks, ensuring smooth office operations, and assisting attorneys in delivering exceptional service to clients. As a Legal Assistant with this firm, you'll be responsible for answering incoming calls, client communication, and preparing legal documents. This position is ideal for someone with a detail-oriented mindset and an interest in growing in the legal field. You must be able to work full-time on-site in San Carlos, CA.
Responsibilities:
Manage case files and ensure all documentation is accurately organized and maintained.
Coordinate schedules and maintain calendars for attorneys and staff to optimize office efficiency.
Assist with estate planning and tax law-related administrative tasks.
Handle receptionist duties, including answering and directing incoming calls and greeting visitors.
Proofread legal documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
Prepare bindery printing projects and scan documents for record-keeping purposes.
Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to support client needs and document preparation.
Utilize case management software to track workflows and deadlines effectively.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in handling sensitive legal information.
Requirements
Qualifications:
-1+ year of experience in a legal assistant or an administrative position is preferred.
Recent college graduates or those looking to enter the legal field are encouraged to apply.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to handle receptionist duties professionally and effectively.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
